Stay Focused

Updated: Mar 19, 2023

How's your vision? Is it 20/20? Is it fuzzy or distorted? Are you able to see through God's eyes or are you seeing through your emotions? Now, before I lose anyone, the vision that I am asking about is your spiritual vision.

I woke up this morning with those questions and this word pressing on my heart for you and me, 'stay focused'. If it is really hard to see what God sees in your now, it will be even harder to see what He sees in your future. I do not believe that God is asking us to omit our feelings, but I do believe that He is calling for us to not allow our emotions to rule us.

I challenge us all to ask the Holy Spirit to heal and strengthen our hearts and to renew our minds. Why, you ask? Because we all need a new perspective in our 'now' to see and stay on the righteous path laid out before us leading into our future.

Distorted vision will lead you in the wrong direction. We must allow God to do the necessary readjustments so that we can see sharply moving forward. Our present and future depends on it.

God bless.

Prayer

Lord, I hear you and I am thankful for another day and opportunity with you. Forgive me where I have allowed myself to see through the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Help me God to see as You see. With a new perspective on life. With eternal vision. Create in me, a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10). I pray that Christ dwells in my heart through faith (Ephesians 3:17).

I choose today to not focus on the things seen, but the things unseen which are eternal with you, God (2 Corinthians 4:18). Thank you that old things have gone away, distorted vision is a thing of the past, and all things are new. May your spirit of wisdom and revelation encompass me as I now see with clearer vision.

Amen.
