It would be wise for us not to discard core foundational things. In chasing the new, we can sometimes unknowingly forfeit the moral standards established by previous generations. Although not everything ancient is necessarily good, there are biblical standards and tested truths that we can glean from historical markers in our leadership and lives. Before we make any moves, let's understand why the boundary or principle was set initially.
There are times when we are to expand and times when we are to be still. Trust God every step of your way and do not allow yourself to become entangled in the attractive but unprofitable and vainly created new concepts. Just because you and I can, does not mean that we should.
The line that holds is staying grounded in unshakable principles during unsteady times when values can get blurry. Let your advancement be guided and secured by the LORD, for times and seasons belong to Him.
